Bow to Bikram


Not familiar with Bikram Yoga? Silly Scoopers! If you're after a punishing workout (in a studio that's warmed to 40 degrees) and are on a mission to lose weight and look fabulous in 2009 then this is just for you.

I've recently got in on the act and apart from almost crying during my first 2 classes, I can now say that I love it. The exercises are slow, steady and punishing, especially in such temperatures but take it at your own pace and you're on to a weight winner.

You can apparently lose up to 1000 calories per 90 minute session so it's a sure fire way, together with a balanced diet, to shed some of those festive pounds. Also, the act of sweating out all of the toxins from deep inside your body will also do wonders for your skin.

Get ready to sweat!
