To be in the possession of a designer purse is, I believe, a signal that you're fashion savvy, have rather good taste but don't necessarily have the funds to stretch to, say, anything bigger (read: more expensive) from the brand in question. Therefore, it's a great entry point to sample the luxury of high-end goods.I (and many others, I imagine) are coveting this bamboo-clasped black leather purse from Gucci. One flash of this bad boy and you'll have those haughty sales staff eating out your hand (if only they knew it contained a mere scruffy £5 note - mwah haa haa!)
