Christian Louboutin For Charity

Shoe master Christian Louboutin is doing his bit for charity and has designed 33 pairs of the shoe above, Peace of Shoe, to benefit the charity Microfinance, which helps the poor with funds to start their own businesses. His charity project is said to have been inspired by the book Creating a World Without Poverty penned by Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, the founder of Grameen Bank/Grameen Foundation, a microfinance funded group.

Each shoe is numbered and will be on sale in different colours in three Louboutin stores locations: New York (champagne), Los Angeles (pink) and Miami (lavender).

Whilst the price tag is quite hefty - $1,495 (approx £925) - you can feel happy in the knowledge that your spending power will help those in a less fortunate place than you or I.
