Rihanna Debuts Scent

Rihanna has joined a never-ending line of celebrities by creating her own perfume.

The Barbadian singer's first scent for women, called Reb’l Fleur, a nickname given to her by her grandmother, will debut next month.

The fragrance was created by the Givaudan fragrance house, together with Rihanna, and is composed as such:

Top notes: Red berries, purple plum and peach.

Heart notes: Hawaiian hibiscus flower, violet, tuberose and coconut water.

Base notes: Vanilla, patchouli, amber and musk.

Rihanna reportedly wanted a perfume that reflected her upbringing in Barbados but that also included her new life in LA and NYC: "I wanted something that said "Rihanna was here". Something delicious and special, a fragrance with subtle hints that linger and leave a sexy memory," she told People Magazine.

The campaign image, seen above, was shot by David Meyers.

Givaudan Launch iPhone App

Givaudan, the world's leading fragrance manufacturer, will this month unveil an iPhone app called i-Perfumer. The app, the first of its kind, will help guide the user through the myriad of fragrances on the market and recommend one to suit based on the date you enter.

Linda Harman, a Givaudan spokeswoman, said: "This tool is a comprehensive representation of the fine fragrance market and we aim to update it on a quarterly basis to ensure that users have the right information about the latest launches."

I cannot wait to download it.
